Online USA Gambling Deposits Blocked by MasterCard

Previously MasterCard had made an attempt towards blocking the deposits that would have been made by the gamblers that are residents of the United States. But they had not properly managed the things and had not been able to block these deposits on the online gambling sites. The major reason for this is that they have not been able to devise coding system. They had to devise a coding system that would have been able to exclude the payments that are unwanted and should not be processed through. The players’ transactions had been processed as un-coded transactions. The online gambling sites used to help their customers through these transactions and allowed them to make their deposits.

Potential Solution of the problem:
At last MasterCard have reached a point where they have found the solution to this problem. This solution will help MasterCard company to avoid such transactions that should not be processed. These unwanted transactions can be made at online poker sites, online gambling sites and online casino sites. Now these online gambling or sites are currently unavailable and have been blocked for the MasterCard users. But it is quite possible in future that these online casinos and gaming sites may find the way that may get them pass through these new blockages.

Affect that successful blockage bring:
If the MasterCard credit card blocks the payment transfers in a successful manner this will have a great impact on online gamblers. The payment blockage from these online gambling sites will not allow the online gamblers of the United States to be able to finance their accounts. The online gamblers will become very frustrated if such a thing happens. This frustration will be rightly so as at this time the online gambling is not really unlawful.

UIGEA:
The implementation of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was delayed due to certain reasons from the start of this year to the 1st of June. The eyes of the online gambling world, this time around, are at the congress that if they will be implementing Barney Frank’s online gambling bill or not. It looks like there will be some positive results for the online casinos, until the UIGEA is eliminated. It seems that the United States Congress will surely adopt the online gambling bills and will implement this as law. It is necessary for the financial institutions to follow the requirements of the UIGEA.

The credit card companies surely need to work a lot behind their online gambling blockage software. They are in a definite need to make their software more effective. The major reason for this is that if the UIGEA is implemented on 1st June, 2010 then these companies should have to block such payments on online gambling sites and if they don’t then they will have to face some kind of officially permitted action. MasterCard has solved this problem to some extent but the players that are Visa credit card holders will still be able to make online gambling deposits. This is because the Visa is still facing the problem of coding that has to be solved for them.
