With the bill unable to make it through to being an act and subsequently a law, another group got afraid and lost interest in online gambling in USA.

The good news is that the law does not target individuals and instead cracks down on the financial institutions that make payments to the online gambling sites. So if you are a US gambler and you want to gamble on sports in the USA then you are free to do so. It is only the gambling sites that have to be careful.
